  • University employment policy
  • Develops hiring process improvements
  • Assists applicants and hiring managers
  • Answers questions
  • Assists hiring managers with recruitment advertising

Benefits

  • Coordinates all ERS insurance and TRS/ORP/TSA/Texa$aver retirement programs
  • Conducts new employee Benefit Orientation programs
  • Issues temporary ID cards
  • Provides pre-retirement counseling.

Compensation

  • Administers the university’s pay plan
  • Compensation policies and FLSA regulations
  • Conducts position audits
  • Assigns position classifications
  • Prepares and maintains position descriptions
  • Participates in compensation surveys
  • And reviews payroll authorizations

Records/Systems

  • Administers all leave policies and programs excluding FMLA/SLP
  • maintains all hard copy and electronic personnel data
  • receives completed I-9/New Employee packets
  • employment verifications
  • longevity pay and state service calculations
  • timesheets
  • Personnel Action Forms (PAF & ePAF)
  • Turnaround forms
  • Unemployment Compensation claims
  • Tech Human Resources Information System (TecHRIS) Information and security access.
