Biography
Stephanie Anderson serves as the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Services and Operations, which includes the Office of the Registrar, Programs for Academic Support Services, Advising Center at Texas Tech, University Academic Advising, the McNair Scholars Program, Pre-professional Health Careers, and IS 1100 Freshman Seminar. Prior to coming to Texas Tech, Mrs. Anderson served at Texas A&M University as an Admission Counselor, Associate Director, and Executive Associate Director in the Office of Admissions and Records. She has worked in college admissions since 1989.
Mrs. Anderson has held numerous leadership positions in the Texas and National Associations for College Admission Counseling (TACAC and NACAC). Currently, she is a resident faculty member of the TACAC Summer Workshop on College Admission and Admission Professional Empowerment Seminar, and has served as Treasurer for TACAC. Mrs. Anderson acted as Co-chair of Special Events for the 2001 NACAC conference and has been a member of the NACAC Fund Advisory Board. Additionally, she serves on the Texas Higher Education Efficiency Committee and is a member and former Chair of the State of Texas Common Application Advisory Committee.
In 1987 and 1989, Mrs. Anderson received her baccalaureate and master's degrees from Texas A&M University.
